Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
Video Editing: Edit video content for various platforms such as social media, websites, and broadcast. This includes cutting footage, inserting music and sound effects, and ensuring logical sequencing and smooth running of the final product.

Collaboration: Work closely with directors, other editors, and the marketing team to determine the best narrative and visual style for projects.

Project Management: Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, maintaining deadlines and communicating progress to team members.

Content Enhancement: Suggest or select music and sound effects and improve voiceovers to enhance the impact of video content.

Quality Control: Review all edited tapes to ensure quality and consistency in both audio and video aspects before declaring them ready for broadcasting or publishing.

**Requirements**:
Education: Degree in film studies, cinematography, or related field.

Experience: Proven work experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio. Experience in full life cycle video production is highly preferred.

**Skills**:Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).

Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.

Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.

Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.

Creative mind and storytelling skills.

Characteristics: Attention to detail, multitasking skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
