Private Label Expert

**Job Title**: Private Label Expert - Cosmetics

**About the Role**:
We are looking for an experienced and quality-focused **Private Label Expert** to lead the development and execution of our private label product lines in the **cosmetics and personal care** category. You will be responsible for identifying product opportunities, working with manufacturers, ensuring compliance, and bringing innovative, effective, and brand-aligned products to life for our D2C audience.

**Key Responsibilities**:1. **Product Ideation & Development**
- Identify emerging trends, white spaces, and customer needs in the beauty and skincare space.
- Conceptualize and develop new private label SKUs aligned with brand DNA, sustainability, and market demand.
- Work closely with formulators, R&D teams, and packaging designers to bring ideas to life.

2. **Manufacturer & Vendor Management**
- Source and evaluate cosmetic manufacturers, contract manufacturers (CMOs), and raw material suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, batch sizes, formulation rights, and quality standards.
- Build and maintain strong, reliable supplier relationships, both domestic and international.

3. **Compliance & Quality Control**
- Ensure all formulations are compliant with Indian and international regulatory bodies (FDA, BIS, EU, etc.).
- Oversee claims substantiation, ingredient documentation, and safety testing (dermatology, allergy, etc.).
- Work with QA/QC teams to establish SOPs and maintain high quality and consistency across batches.

4. **Packaging & Branding**
- Collaborate with design and brand teams to develop packaging that aligns with brand aesthetics and user experience.
- Ensure all packaging meets labeling, legal, and environmental standards.
- Work on sustainable and innovative packaging options to enhance consumer appeal.

5. **Project Management**
- Manage the entire NPD (New Product Development) lifecycle from concept to launch.
- Maintain detailed timelines, cost sheets, vendor trackers, and launch calendars.
- Coordinate with internal teams (marketing, e-commerce, logistics) to ensure launch readiness.

6. **Performance Analysis & Iteration**
- Monitor product sales, customer feedback, reviews, and returns to improve existing SKUs.
- Analyze product performance and recommend discontinuations, reformulations, or line extensions.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related field. MBA or advanced certification is a plus.
- 4-8 years of experience in private label development or product management in the **cosmetic/personal care** sector.
- Strong understanding of cosmetic formulations, ingredients, certifications (organic, cruelty-free, vegan), and clean beauty standards.
- Familiarity with contract manufacturing processes and vendor negotiations.
- Deep knowledge of Indian and international cosmetic regulatory compliance.
- Excellent project management and cross-functional coordination skills.

**Preferred**:

- Experience working in a D2C-first brand environment.
- Familiarity with product launch cycles, and customer experience data.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
