Billing Executive

**Job Title**: Billing Executive

**Reporting To**: Billing Manager / Store Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Billing Executive will be responsible for accurately processing customer purchases, managing billing transactions, maintaining billing records, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience. The role requires attention to detail, speed, customer service skills, and basic financial understanding.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Generate and process customer bills/invoices accurately and quickly.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, UPI, and other forms of payments.
- Verify pricing, discounts, and promotions during billing.
- Maintain cash register and ensure end-of-day cash tallying.
- Assist customers with queries related to billing and payments.
- Maintain records of daily transactions and prepare reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with store policies and government tax regulations (like GST).
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds following the store's policy.
- Coordinate with inventory and sales teams for stock and billing issues.
- Report discrepancies, if any, immediately to the supervisor.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Minimum HSC (12th Grade); Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in retail billing or cashier role preferred.
- Knowledge of billing software (POS systems) is an advantage.
- Good understanding of MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Basic understanding of taxation (e.g., GST).
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle pressure and manage peak-hour rush efficiently.
- Trustworthy, punctual, and disciplined.

**Work Environment**:

- Based at the store front desk / billing counter.
- May involve weekend and holiday shifts depending on store hours.
