- Maintaining equipment - soccer boots, team uniform and sheen guards are just some of the equipment that a player must keep clean and in good condition
- Participating in events - a soccer player is required to attend every match scheduled and play any role assigned by the coach both on and off the field
- Attending training - it is required that a soccer player attends all the training sessions scheduled by the coach and participate in exercises as instructed
- Representing the team - soccer players may sometimes be required to represent the team in events such as fundraisers and charities
