**Job Summary**:
The Purchase Executive s responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services required by the company, with a specific focus on import activities. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and managing the logistics of importing goods to meet the company’s operational needs.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Procurement Management**:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
- Source, negotiate, and establish contracts with local and international suppliers.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, products, and services required by the company.
**Import Management**:
- Oversee the entire import process, from order placement to delivery.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and shipping agents to ensure smooth import operations.
- Ensure compliance with all import regulations, including customs clearance, tariffs, and duties.
- Manage documentation for import activities, including bills of lading, invoices, and certificates of origin.
**Supplier Relationship Management**:
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality goods and services.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and cost.
- Work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality.
**Cost Management**:
- Monitor and control procurement costs to ensure alignment with the company’s budget.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Analyze market trends to anticipate changes in supply chain costs.
**Inventory Management**:
- Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Address any discrepancies in inventory and implement corrective actions.
**Compliance and Risk Management**:
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Mitigate risks associated with international trade, including currency fluctuations, geopolitical issues, and supply chain disruptions.
- Stay updated on changes in import regulations and trade agreements that may impact the company.
**Team Leadership**:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team to achieve departmental goals.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment within the procurement department.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
**Eligibility Criteria**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import documentation.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with inventory management and cost control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of global supply chain trends and market dynamics.
**Working Conditions**:
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to meet with suppliers or inspect goods.
- May require working extended hours to meet procurement deadlines.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
