**Job Purpose**

To ensure aviation safety by conducting mandatory Breath Alcohol (BA) testing for flight crew and safety-sensitive personnel as per DGCA regulations, and to provide advanced medical support during helicopter operations when required. The role demands precision, clinical expertise, and the ability to perform under high-pressure and remote aeromedical conditions.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct BA tests for pilots and safety-sensitive staff before and after flight duty in strict compliance with DGCA Civil Aviation Requirements.
- Operate and maintain DGCA-approved BA testing equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Maintain accurate, secure, and confidential test records with full adherence to chain-of-custody protocols.
- Liaise with flight operations and safety teams to ensure timely and consistent testing compliance.
- Deliver critical pre-hospital and in-flight medical care during helicopter operations on an ad hoc basis.
- Stabilize patients and manage trauma or medical emergencies during evacuations or other helicopter missions.
- Operate onboard medical equipment such as monitors, ventilators, and defibrillators when required.
- Coordinate with ground medical teams, hospitals, pilots, and patient families for seamless care transitions.
- Assist flight crew in safe boarding and disembarkation of passengers as needed.
- Ensure medical equipment, emergency drugs, and supplies are regularly checked and mission-ready.
- Maintain cold chain for temperature-sensitive medications and consumables.
- Accurately document all medical interventions, BA testing results, and mission reports.

**Eligibility Criteria**

**Qualifications (Role-Specific)**
- Emergency Medical Technologist / Paramedic: Diploma/BSc with Advanced Life Support certification.
- Operation Theatre / Anaesthesia Technologist: Diploma/BSc with trauma/surgical assistance experience.
- Nurses: BSc Nursing or GNM registered under the Indian Nursing Council with emergency/ICU background.
- Pharmacists: D.Pharm / B.Pharm registered under Pharmacy Council of India with operational readiness training.

**Certifications**:

- Desirable: BLS (Basic Life Support), PHTLS, ITLS, ATLS (especially for paramedics/nurses) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- Aviation/aeromedical training preferred but not mandatory (training can be provided)

**Experience**
- 0 to 4 years’ experience in BA testing, aviation medical compliance, or emergency care settings.

**Key Skills**
- Proficiency in Breath Alcohol testing and aviation safety compliance
- Ability to provide emergency medical care when needed
- Strong decision-making and clinical judgment in field conditions
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with aviation and medical teams
- High physical and mental resilience for operations in remote or challenging environments
- Strict adherence to confidentiality and documentation protocols

**Work Conditions & Availability**
- Availability for early morning, late-night, and irregular duty hours based on flight schedules.
- Coordination with multiple stakeholders including pilots, crew, safety officers, and auditors.
- May require travel or deployment to remote bases for random or scheduled BA testing and emergency medical coverage.
- Deployments onboard helicopters operating in high-altitude, remote, and rugged terrains.
- Potential for emergency call-outs and extended duties.
