NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning), is a joint venture of the IITs and IISc, funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) Government of India, and was launched in 2003. NPTEL now offers 750+ courses for certification every semester in about 22 disciplines.

The Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE) is the centre that coordinates all non-campus academic & outreach activities from IIT Madras.

This role will handle the marketing and social media activities for CODE, IIT Madras initiatives, including NPTEL.

**Experience**:
Prior experience of 2 to 3 years in Social Media and Digital Marketing is preferred.

**Responsibilities**:

- _**Social and Digital Media**_
- Manage social media channels of NPTEL & IITM CODE
- Collaborate with teams to create a weekly newsletter
- Create content using graphic design tools like Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop or Canva to optimize and post for social media channels and digital ads
- Ideate and work with the design team and the video team to create attractive and informative content for social media, digital ads and YouTube channels.
- Bi-weekly reporting on the performance of social media channels and digital ads
- Work closely with the accounts team to provide clear understanding on digital ads and other marketing expenses
- _**Student interactions and activities**_
- Take part in recording of student/learner feedback sessions and work on testimonial videos for social media

**Requirements**:

- Must have a working knowledge of MS Office
- The ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work efficiently with mínimal supervision
- Prior knowledge of creative tools like Canva, and Adobe Suite would be appreciated
- Working knowledge of different social media platforms is required
- A willingness to learn and grow in this position and proactiveness to expand responsibilities
- Ability to think creatively and outside of the box to create attractive and informative content
- Working knowledge of Google Sites and newsletter platforms would be a plus

**Location**: IIT Madras campus office (WFH is not available for this position)

**Please Note**:

- **Working hours **will be Mon-Fri 9 am to 6 pm. Weekend follow-up work will be there on a need basis.
- This is not a permanent job position either with the Central Government of India or IIT Madras. These are purely Contractual positions, renewed by mutual consent.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: ₹29,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
