**JOB PURPOSE**:
To create repair-before-failure service recommendations using the 5 elements of condition monitoring, global data, Caterpillar specialized analytics, product group technical expertise and other information sources available to provide suggested actions to help customers lower owning and operating costs, improve availability, and reduce warranty costs. These recommendations will support customer value agreements, improve customer loyalty, and grow aftermarket, while driving asset uptime and reducing costs through equipment management efficiency.

**JOB DUTIES**:
Condition Monitoring Advisors (CMAs) in various strategic Caterpillar locations globally will monitor the elements of S-O-SSM fluid analysis, equipment inspections, electronic data, repair history and site conditions to provide relevant recommendations as indicated by the data. This includes the following essential duties and responsibilities:

- Aggregates and correlates the five elements of condition monitoring, where all are available.
- Utilizes information from specific internal product group contacts to increase the accuracy of the required actions.
- Provides equipment recommendations to Caterpillar dealers and customers.
- Extracts and reports on data from the appropriate business systems including customer, dealer and contractor sources.
- Provides information for equipment management lead tracking and resolution.
- Prepares standard written reports of recommendations for customers and their Caterpillar dealers on a monthly basis.
- Builds collaborative relationships & acts as a consultant with equipment management personnel, Facilitates meetings, communicates recommendations to others.
- Collaborates with prime product groups / value streams to support CPI issue resolution and machine monitorability for machines in CS & S and customer fleets.
- Mentors & coaches other condition monitoring advisors, consultants, & pre field representatives.

**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:

- 8+ years of experience in the product support and/or engineering fields.
- Strong customer service/contact experience, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are critical to succeed in this position.
- Possess the ability to work in team environment and work with diverse groups of customers and business partners.
- Capable of providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members. Position requires initiative and ability to resolve issues either individually or through appropriate team guidance.
- Working knowledge of engines, power train, hydraulic systems, Product Link, VIMS, inspection process, equipment lifecycle planning, S-O-SSM Services, and the Service Information System would be highly desired.
