he Housekeeping Executive - Public Area is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall appearance of all public areas within the hotel or property. This includes lobbies, corridors, elevators, restrooms, lounges, banquet halls, and all other guest-facing areas. The role involves managing a team of housekeeping attendants and coordinating efforts with other departments to ensure high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:1. **Public Area Cleanliness & Maintenance**:
- Supervise daily cleaning operations of public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, lounges, and meeting spaces.
- Ensure all public areas are well-maintained, neat, and hygienic at all times, in line with hotel standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of public spaces to ensure cleanliness, repair issues, and address any maintenance requirements.
- Ensure the proper care and handling of cleaning equipment and supplies.
2. **Team Management**:
- Lead and supervise the public area housekeeping team, providing clear instructions and training on cleaning procedures and safety protocols.
- Ensure the team delivers prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all guests and staff.
- Schedule and assign duties to housekeeping staff, ensuring optimal staffing levels to meet the demands of the property.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback, recognizing outstanding work and addressing areas for improvement.
3. **Quality Control & Guest Satisfaction**:
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleanliness, quality standards, and aesthetic expectations are met consistently.
- Address guest complaints or issues related to public areas in a professional and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Implement and maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards in all public areas.
4. **Coordination with Other Departments**:
- Liaise with the Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and that guest requests are promptly addressed.
- Coordinate with the Engineering department for any repair or maintenance issues related to public areas.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of events in public spaces, such as conferences or social gatherings.
5. **Inventory & Supply Management**:
- Monitor the usage of cleaning supplies and chemicals, ensuring stock levels are maintained and orders are placed as needed.
- Maintain records of equipment and supplies, and ensure all items are in good working condition.
6. **Safety & Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations, particularly in relation to the public areas.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for public area cleaning staff to maintain awareness of safety practices.
- Implement and follow the hotel's security procedures, ensuring the protection of guests, staff, and property.
Skills & Qualifications:
- **Experience**:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role, within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.
- Experience in managing teams and performing quality control assessments is desirable.
- **Education & Certifications**:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; further hospitality or management qualifications are a plus.
- Training in housekeeping or cleaning management practices is preferred.
- **Skills**:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective communication skills with team members and guests.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle guest complaints professionally.
- **Knowledge**:
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation practices.
- Understanding of hotel operations and guest services.
- Familiarity with safety and health regulations, particularly in the hospitality industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment or supplies as needed.
- Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
- Regular working hours, with the potential for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Requires on-the-job presence to inspect public areas and manage staff during cleaning shifts.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
