**Phonics Instructor & School Psychologist (Dual Role)**

**About the Role**

At GD Goenka Hapur Rd, we are redefining what education can feel like bringing standards of learning, care, and culture to every child.

We are looking for a dynamic, empathetic, and highly skilled professional who can play a dual role as both Phonics Instructor and School Psychologist — someone who nurtures clear speech, confident communication, and emotional well-being in our youngest Goenkans.

This is a full-time on-campus role requiring warmth, patience, and excellence in both early literacy and student psychology.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Phonics Instruction (Pre-Primary to Grade II):

- Deliver daily phonics-based literacy sessions with energy and structure.
- Strengthen sound recognition, articulation, and reading fluency.
- Conduct one-on-one or small-group interventions for pronunciation and reading readiness.
- Collaborate with class teachers to integrate phonics into classroom learning.
- Track student progress through weekly reports and individual sound mastery sheets.
- Student Wellbeing & Psychology:

- Observe classrooms and identify behavioural or emotional needs.
- Conduct student counselling sessions and maintain confidential case notes.
- Guide teachers in classroom behaviour management strategies.
- Conduct short “Happiness Circles” and parent workshops on emotional growth.
- Coordinate with the Principal, Class Teachers, and Infirmary for student wellbeing.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Psychology, Child Development, or Education.
- Professional training or certification in Phonics preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of school experience in early years or counselling roles.
- Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written).
- Warm, empathetic demeanour with high professional ethics.
- Ability to handle children with patience and positivity.
