**Job Overview**:
We are looking for a skilled **Structural Draftsman** to join our design team. The Structural Draftsman will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate structural drawings for a variety of construction projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. The role involves working closely with structural engineers and other team members to translate design concepts and calculations into technical drawings and plans that will be used in the construction process.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Drafting and Detailing**:

- Create **detailed 2D and 3D structural drawings** for various types of structures, including **beams**, **columns**, **slabs**, **foundations**, **walls**, and **roof structures**.
- Prepare structural **details** for elements such as **reinforced concrete (RCC)** components, **steel connections**, **foundation plans**, and **floor plans**.
- Produce **reinforcement drawings** (including **bar bending schedules**) and **steel detailing** (for fabrication) based on the structural design provided by engineers.
- Draft **layout plans**, **sectional views**, and **elevations** for various structural elements.
- **Collaboration with Engineers**:

- Work with **structural engineers** to understand design specifications and ensure that the technical drawings align with the engineering calculations and building codes.
- Review and incorporate feedback from engineers and project managers into updated drawings.
- Assist engineers in creating **design modifications** and revisions based on changes or challenges during the design or construction phases.
- **Ensuring Accuracy and Compliance**:

- Ensure that all drafting work complies with **local building codes**, **international standards**, and **industry best practices** (such as IS codes for RCC or AISC for steel).
- Double-check and verify the accuracy of structural drawings to ensure there are no discrepancies or errors.
- Conduct **quality control checks** to ensure that the drawings are clear, complete, and free from conflicts.
- **Use of Design and Drafting Software**:

- Utilize **AutoCAD**, **Revit**, **Tekla Structures**, or other relevant software to prepare and modify structural drawings.
- Use 3D modeling tools to create and visualize the structural components in detail.
- Manage and update **digital files** and ensure that project drawing files are organized and stored appropriately for easy access by the project team.
- **Site Coordination and Support**:

- Attend **site visits** or **field surveys** to verify existing conditions, identify construction issues, or update drawings based on actual site conditions.
- Support the project team by answering any **technical queries** related to structural drawings during construction.
- Assist in creating **as-built drawings** or **redline drawings** if there are changes made during the construction process.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Keep detailed records of all drawing revisions, comments, and project changes.
- Coordinate with project managers to track drawing progress and deadlines.
- Prepare and update **drawing schedules** and ensure all drawings are submitted in a timely manner to meet project milestones.
- **Project Collaboration**:

- Coordinate with other departments, such as **architectural**, **mechanical**, **electrical**, and **plumbing (MEP)** teams, to ensure that all structural elements are integrated into the overall building design.
- Assist in coordinating with **construction teams** to ensure the proper implementation of structural designs on-site.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Educational Background**: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in **Civil Engineering**, **Structural Engineering**, or related field.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in **structural drafting**, preferably in the construction or civil engineering industry.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Strong skills in **AutoCAD** (2D and 3D), **Revit**, and other **structural drafting software** such as **Tekla Structures**, **MicroStation**, or similar.
- Experience with **BIM (Building Information Modeling)** is a plus.
- **Knowledge of Codes & Standards**: Familiarity with **local building codes**, **IS codes** for RCC, **AISC standards** for steel, and other structural design standards.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of structural drawings.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and drawings to engineers, architects, and construction teams.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve design or drafting issues as they arise.
- **Team Collaboration**: Comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
