**Job Summary**:
A **Switchyard Estimator**—often referred to as a **Substation Estimator**—is a specialized professional responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for electrical substation and switchyard construction projects. This role is critical in the planning and bidding phases of infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate budgeting and resource allocation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Cost Estimation**: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services for substation projects.
- **Project Analysis**: Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to develop accurate and complete estimates.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and requirements.
- **Risk Assessment**: Identify potential risks and opportunities within the estimating process to inform decision-making.
- **Data Management**: Maintain and update historical cost data and estimating tools to reflect current market conditions and project learnings.
- **Site Visits**: Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information
- **Mentorship**: Provide guidance and support to junior estimators and team members, fostering professional development.

**Qualifications**
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in **Electrical Engineering**, Construction Management, or a related field
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years in substation or switchyard estimating, with a strong understanding of high-voltage electrical systems and construction practices.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Primavera, Bluebeam) and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel.
- **Soft Skills**: Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month.
