Key responsibilities:

- Manage SQL Server & AWS Redshift databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
- Setting up new AWS redshift databases
- Managing database backup and recovery
- On-call support to maintain 24X7 coverage of the database environment
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.

Qualifications / Skills:

- 4-8 years of experience in Database Support/Admin that include Database & Query Performance Tuning
- Excellent understanding of the AWS architecture (RDS, S3)
- Experience in Database administration, performance tuning, management and security of AWS Redshift deployment and enterprise data warehouse
