Key Responsibilities:
- **Patient Care**:
- Provide advanced medical care to critically ill patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Manage complex medical conditions including respiratory failure, shock, multi-organ dysfunction, and post-surgical complications.
- Perform and interpret complex diagnostic tests and procedures like intubation, central line placement, and mechanical ventilation management.
- Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Initiate and oversee life-support therapies including ECMO when required.
- **Team Collaboration**:
- Lead a multidisciplinary team of nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with the patient's primary care physician and other specialists regarding patient status and care plans.
- Collaborate on developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- **Family Communication**:
- Regularly update patients' families on their condition, treatment options, and prognosis.
- Facilitate informed decision-making by discussing complex medical information with families in a compassionate manner.
- **Quality Improvement**:
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize patient care within the ICU.
- Review clinical data and identify areas for improvement in critical care practices.
- **Education and Research**:
- Provide mentorship and training to medical students, residents, and other healthcare providers.
- Contribute to clinical research projects related to critical care medicine.
Qualifications:
- **Medical Degree**: Completion of an accredited medical school.
- **Board Certification**: Board certified in Critical Care Medicine.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in an ICU setting preferred.
- **Clinical Skills**: Expertise in advanced airway management, hemodynamic monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and critical care procedures.
- **Communication Skills**: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- **Leadership Abilities**: Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and make critical decisions under pressure.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
