**Job Title: Lab Technician Job Summary**:
The Lab Technician will support scientific experiments and research by conducting tests, preparing samples, operating laboratory equipment, and ensuring proper maintenance of lab instruments. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Sample Preparation**: Prepare and organize samples for testing, ensuring proper handling and documentation.
- **Test Conducting**: Perform scientific or diagnostic tests and experiments following standardized procedures.
- **Data Collection and Analysis**: Record test results, analyze data, and generate reports for researchers or medical staff.
- **Equipment Maintenance**: Operate, maintain, and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring everything is in working order.
- **Lab Safety**: Follow all safety protocols, manage hazardous materials safely, and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies, reorder when necessary.
- **Quality Control**: Assist in maintaining quality standards in testing procedures and ensuring accurate results.
- **Collaboration**: Work with scientists, researchers, or medical professionals to support lab-based projects or tests.
- **Administrative Duties**: Document and file test results, write reports, and assist in the creation of experimental protocols.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred).
- **Experience**: Previous lab experience is preferred, but on-the-job training may be provided.
- **Technical Skills**: Familiarity with laboratory equipment and techniques (microscopes, spectrometers, etc.).
- **Attention to Detail**: Ability to carefully follow protocols and procedures to ensure accurate results.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or test inconsistencies.
**Work Environment**:
- Lab technicians work in a laboratory setting, which may be located in a research facility, hospital, or university.
- The role may involve working with hazardous chemicals, biological samples, or specialized equipment.
- May require long hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on the research or lab needs.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand or sit for long periods.
- Dexterity to handle small instruments and materials.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment or materials up to a specified weight.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
