**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **
Solution Design**:

- Architect scalable and secure backend solutions for card payment systems, focusing on compliance, transaction processing, and interoperability.
- Design and optimize payment flows, settlement processes, and reconciliation systems for Mastercard, Visa, or Amex platforms.
- Ensure alignment of architectural solutions with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- ** Technical Leadership**:

- Provide technical direction and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices in payment systems architecture.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
- ** Program Management**:

- Act as a Technical Program Manager, overseeing the end-to-end execution of payment-related programs, including timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of payment solutions.
- ** Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, provide insights, and recommend innovative solutions.
- Deliver business process consulting services, identifying gaps and driving improvements in payment operations.
- ** Compliance & Security**:

- Ensure that solutions comply with PCI-DSS standards and other relevant payment industry regulations.
- Address security concerns, fraud prevention, and risk management in the payment system architecture.

**Requirements**:
**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in the payments domain, with a focus on card payments and backend processes.
- Hands-on experience with payment networks like Mastercard, Visa, or Amex.

**Preferred Skills & Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of transaction processing, settlement, and dispute management in card payment systems.
- Strong understanding of APIs, payment gateways, and integrations with third-party platforms.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
