**AIX Administrator L2**

**Position Summary**:
In this role he/she will be responsible for managing and maintaining the AIX operating system environment to ensure its stability, security, and optimal performance. This position requires a deep understanding of AIX administration, system configuration, troubleshooting, and automation. You will play a key role in supporting AIX-based infrastructure, implementing best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable IT services. This role specializes in performing Second-level technical support for AIX operating systems/Cluster, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**System Administration**:Install, configure, and maintain AIX operating system environments, including system initialization, configuration files, and kernel parameters. Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls to ensure security and compliance with organizational policies.

**Performance Monitoring and Tuning**:Monitor AIX system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and ensure scalability. Implement performance tuning measures, such as adjusting kernel parameters, optimizing file systems, and tuning network settings.

**Backup and Recovery**:Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery solutions for AIX systems, including full and incremental backups, disaster recovery planning, and system restoration procedures.

**Security Hardening and Compliance**: Implement security best practices and hardening guidelines for AIX systems to protect against security threats, vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements. Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to security policies and regulatory standards.

**High Availability and Disaster Recovery**: Configure and manage high availability solutions such as IBM PowerHA System Mirror for AIX to ensure continuous operation and failover capabilities in case of system failures.

**Automation and Scripting**:Develop and maintain automation scripts using shell scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Korn shell) or automation tools (e.g., Ansible) to streamline routine administrative tasks and processes.

**Incident Response and Problem Management**: Respond to AIX-related incidents, troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement resolutions to minimize downtime and service impact. Document incident details, resolution steps, and post-incident reviews to improve incident response and problem management processes.

**Skill Required**:

- 5+ years of experience in AIX operating system administration in a production environment.
- In-depth knowledge of AIX system administration, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Experience with AIX patch management, version upgrades, and system maintenance procedures.
- Familiar with AIX security concepts, access controls, and security hardening practices.
- Experience with AIX high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as IBM PowerHA System Mirror.
- Proficiency in shell scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Korn shell) and automation tools (e.g., Ansible) for task automation and scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex AIX-related issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.

Pay: ₹1,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
