**On-the-Job Training Program: QA Testing (Manual and Automation) Trainee**

**Location**: Calicut, Kerala

**Job Type**: Full-time, Fresher, Internship
**Contract Length**: 6 months

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Manual Testing**:

- Assist in the creation of test cases and test scenarios based on functional specifications and business requirements.
- Perform manual testing to ensure the software meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Execute test cases, report bugs, and work with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Participate in the documentation of test results and provide feedback for improvements.
- Verify that software functionality matches user stories and acceptance criteria.
- **Automation Testing**:

- Assist in the development of automated test scripts using tools.
- Collaborate with senior QA engineers to set up and maintain automation frameworks.
- Work on automating regression, smoke, and functional tests to improve testing efficiency.
- Analyze and debug automated test failures, ensuring quick resolution.
- Support the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing during software development.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback on software quality.
- Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile ceremonies to ensure quality is considered throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve QA practices by staying updated on the latest tools, trends, and industry standards in software testing.
- **Bug Tracking & Reporting**:

- Use bug tracking tools to log and track defects, ensuring clear communication and proper follow-up.
- Generate detailed test reports and present testing progress to the team, highlighting key quality metrics.

**Requirements**:

- Basic understanding of **Manual Testing** concepts, including test case creation, test execution, and bug reporting.
- Familiarity with **Automation Testing** tools.
- Understanding of **Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)** and **Agile methodologies**.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages.
- Familiarity with version control tools like **Git**.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- A passion for ensuring software quality and a strong desire to learn automation testing.
