**Position Summary**:

- Senior Engineer

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Work Experience :7-12 years
- Must Have Skills: Commvault Backup Administration, Backup and Recovery product knowledge awareness. Bacula, Backup Excec, Netbackup and Veeam awareness will be a plus.
- Good to Have Skills: Knowledge of OS (Windows /Unix), Cloud Technologies (Azure, AWS) Backup Certification
- Job Requirements: Agree to 24 x 7 shifts

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide technical and administrative support for hosted client’s backup and recovery
- Configure backups as per specific settings.
- Monitoring of backup jobs.
- Repair failures between the centralized backup system and the client servers.
- Perform data restorations for server, file system and/or databases upon customer request.
- Provide on-call support for backup jobs failures and backup restoration.
- Prepare backup reports as per requirements.
- Organize regular audits of backup configurations
- Scratch systems to meet industry standards
- Research technical issues, identify, and implement solutions
- Conform to “best practices” strategies for backup & recovery program design
- Execute client’s system restoration processes and document procedures
- Evaluate Technical/Infrastructure solutions

**Technical Experience**:

- Install and configure backup hardware and software following the design specifications provided to meet the customer’s technical and business requirements. (Onsite and Cloud)
- Assess customer readiness to determine if all the technical pre-requisites have been met to proceed with the next steps in a project (Onsite and Cloud backups)
- Perform data migration tasks to transition from the previous backup infrastructure to the new infrastructure
- Work with the vendor technical support and/or development to troubleshoot any technical issues blocking progress
- Stay up to date on the latest best practices to ensure the smoothest operation work
- Knowledge of backup policy-driven backup/restores
- Knowledge of configuring and maintaining Commserve / backup server, Media Agents, Storage Policies, and copies for deduplication disk libraries
