POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:
**The Database Administrator will be responsible to**:

- Deliver prompt Level 3 support services to IT systems that support Stores, Support Centres and Warehouses.
- Maintain integrity, stability and operation of all Lovisa databases.
- Identify and manage IT security concerns.
- Act as an escalation point for Level 1 and Level 2 teams to provide technical expertise to solve Requests, Incidents and Problems.
- Work with Level 3 teams (Business Systems, Data/Reporting, Projects and Developers) to provide effective support for Database related matters.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure Lovisa is treated with priority regarding Requests, Incidents and Problems.
- Ensure effective management of Lovisa’s equipment, software and services.
- Contribute towards the continuous improvement of all IT services.
- Be part of a rotating after hours support roster.
- Occasionally work outside normal business hours to support the above.
- Perform other duties and special projects (within an individual’s skill and competency level) as required.

**Required skills and attributes**:

- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing the Microsoft SQL Server technology stack.
- Strong technical expertise in database administration and SQL programming/optimisation.
- Experience with automation tools or scripting (particularly PowerShell).
- Demonstrated experience managing cloud environments (especially AWS and MS Azure).
- Demonstrated experience with database monitoring and alerting.
- Familiarity with data security practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- (Desirable) Experience with Point-of-Sale (POS) systems in retail operations.
- (Desirable) Customer service mindset and an ability to work with teams of varying levels across multiple geographies.
