**Position**: PGT Mathematics Teacher
**Location**: Chengalpattu, Chennai

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:

- **Teaching and Curriculum Delivery**:

- Deliver Mathematics lessons to students in Grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 following the CBSE syllabus.
- Plan, prepare, and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with the curriculum and engage students.
- Teach core topics such as Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry, and Statistics with clarity and precision.
- Incorporate a variety of teaching techniques and educational technologies to cater to different learning styles and needs.
- Prepare students for board exams (Class 10 & 12) and provide additional support for their academic development.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Develop and administer regular tests, quizzes, assignments, and projects to evaluate students' understanding and progress.
- Use diagnostic assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for improvement.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on students' work, guiding them to improve their performance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, grades, and other relevant information.
- Help students with exam preparation, including practice papers and mock exams, ensuring they are well-prepared for final exams.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a disciplined and positive classroom environment that fosters learning and encourages student participation.
- Provide one-on-one attention to students who require additional help or have specific learning needs.
- Ensure that the class is actively engaged and that students are consistently motivated to achieve excellence.
- **Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Engagement**:

- Promote an interest in Mathematics through participation in Maths Olympiads, quizzes, and other related competitions.
- Organize and participate in events such as Mathematics workshops, guest lectures, and student group activities.
- Foster a love for problem-solving and logical thinking outside the classroom, through projects, discussions, and explorations.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay updated with the latest trends in Mathematics education, curriculum updates, and technological tools.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to continually develop professional expertise and teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with other teachers in the department to improve teaching practices and share resources.
- **Parental Communication**:

- Regularly communicate with parents regarding student progress and areas that require attention.
- Participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) and provide feedback on students’ academic performance and behavior.

Qualifications:

- **Educational Qualification**:

- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is a must.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching Mathematics at the senior secondary level (Grades 9-12) in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Proven experience in preparing students for CBSE board exams (Class 10 & 12) with a good track record of student performance.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- In-depth knowledge of the CBSE Mathematics curriculum and exam pattern.
- Proficiency in using educational tools like smartboards, online platforms, and other digital resources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex concepts for students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for teaching Mathematics.

Preferred:

- Knowledge of current developments in Mathematics education, including new methodologies and digital learning tools.
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to make learning interactive and interesting.
- Experience in conducting extra-curricular activities related to Mathematics, such as Olympiads, Mathematics clubs, etc.
