Job Title: Construction Laboratory Technician

Location: M.P.

Reporting to: [Project Manager/Laboratory Supervisor]

Job Summary:
The Construction Laboratory Technician will perform tests and analyze materials used in construction projects, such as concrete, soil, asphalt, and aggregates, ensuring they meet quality standards and project specifications. The technician will also document results and collaborate with the project team to maintain quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Material Testing:

- Conduct tests on construction materials (concrete, soil, asphalt, aggregates, etc.) for quality and compliance with standards like IS, ASTM, or AASHTO.
- Perform compaction, moisture, and density tests for soil and base materials.

2. Sample Preparation:

- Collect and prepare samples from construction sites or laboratories.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of samples to avoid contamination.

3. Quality Control and Assurance:

- Monitor the quality of materials and report any deviations from project specifications.
- Work closely with site supervisors and engineers to ensure materials meet project requirements.

4. Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

- Operate lab equipment such as sieves, compression testing machines, and moisture meters.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of tests performed and results obtained.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports to the project manager or relevant stakeholders.

6. Compliance:

- Ensure all testing procedures follow industry standards and safety protocols.
- Assist in internal and external audits related to quality control.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Education:

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related field.
- Certification in material testing is a plus.

2. Experience:

- 1-3 years of experience in material testing or a related role in construction.
- Freshers with relevant education may also be considered for junior roles.

3. Technical Skills:

- Knowledge of material properties and testing standards (e.g., IS Codes).
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment and interpret results.

4. Soft Skills:

- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
