**Job Summary: Job Title: Hostel Warden - Nursing hostel**

**Location: Nursing hostel Kurla**

**Job Purpose**:
To ensure the smooth functioning of the hostel by maintaining discipline, safety, and a positive living environment for nurses. The warden is responsible for overseeing daily hostel operations, addressing nurses concerns, and enforcing institutional rules and policies.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Nurses Welfare & Discipline**
- Ensure nurses follow hostel rules and regulations.
- Address nurses grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues.
- Provide emotional support and act as a mentor to nurses when needed.

**2. Safety & Security**
- Maintain a safe and secure living environment.
- Ensure hostel gates are monitored, and visitor protocols are followed.
- Conduct regular checks for health, hygiene, and fire safety compliance.

**3. Administration**
- Maintain attendance, leave records, and discipline registers.
- Coordinate with hospital administration for nurses movements, medical needs, and emergencies.
- Supervise housekeeping, catering, and maintenance services.

**4. Health and Hygiene**
- Promote cleanliness and hygiene in the hostel premises.
- Monitor the health status of nures and coordinate with the nursing director.

**5. Coordination**
- Act as a bridge between nurses and hospital authorities.
- Coordinate with security staff, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel.
- Report any issues or incidents to the hospital management promptly.
- Handling the queries of nurses and managing their doubts doing proper management of the same
- Being Proactive and taking care of everything informing the superiors about the work

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Graduate
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergencies and work under pressure.

**Working Conditions**:

- Residential position (must stay in the hostel premises).
- Availability for emergencies and night duties as required.

**Desirable Qualities**:

- Empathy and a student-centred approach.
- Firm but fair in enforcing rules.
- Strong organizational and crisis-handling skills.
