**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Database Management**:

- Administer, manage, and support Sybase ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise) databases.
- Perform database installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations within SAP environments.
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- **Backup & Recovery**:

- Implement and manage database backup and recovery strategies for Sybase ASE databases.
- Ensure regular testing of backup procedures and restore capabilities.
- **Database Security**:

- Implement and enforce database security measures, including user roles, permissions, and access controls in Sybase ASE.
- Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
- **SAP Integration**:

- Support and manage Sybase ASE databases in SAP systems, including integration and tuning for optimal SAP performance.
- Collaborate with SAP Basis teams to ensure seamless database operations within the SAP landscape.
- **Performance Tuning**:

- Analyze and optimize database performance, including query tuning, index management, and other performance-related tasks.
- Work with development teams to optimize database-related code and processes.
- **Monitoring & Reporting**:

- Monitor and analyze database health, performance, and availability through regular checks and reports.
- Generate and review regular reports to assess database performance and usage.
- **Support & Troubleshooting**:

- Provide technical support for database-related issues, performing root cause analysis, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database connectivity, performance, and SAP-specific issues.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain detailed documentation for all Sybase ASE database operations, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Ensure proper version control and documentation for database configurations and SAP-related integrations.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- At least 2 years of experience as a Sybase ASE Database Administrator, preferably with exposure to SAP environments.
- Hands-on experience with Sybase ASE database installation, configuration, and management.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong understanding of Sybase ASE architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA, SAP Basis, and SAP NetWeaver is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL, shell scripting, and automation of database tasks.
- Familiarity with database backup and recovery tools, and performance monitoring solutions.
- **Certifications**:

- Relevant certifications in Sybase ASE or SAP (e.g., Sybase ASE certification, SAP Basis certification) is a plus.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
