**Job Title**: QC Chemist - Raw Materials

**Job Summary**: The QC Chemist for Raw Materials is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of all raw materials used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This role involves performing routine testing, analyzing raw material samples, maintaining records, and ensuring that raw materials meet the required specifications as per regulatory standards and company guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Raw Material Testing**:

- Conduct physical, chemical, and microbiological testing of raw materials (such as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients, and packaging materials).
- Prepare and standardize reagents, solutions, and other testing materials as needed.
- Perform various laboratory techniques, including titrations, spectrometry, chromatography, and pH analysis.
- **Compliance & Documentation**:

- Ensure that all raw material testing is performed in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of testing results, deviations, and corrective actions.
- Review and evaluate raw material certificates of analysis (COAs) to confirm material quality before acceptance into inventory.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Participate in investigations of any discrepancies or out-of-specification (OOS) results related to raw materials.
- Assist in the preparation and review of raw material specifications and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary raw material testing documentation.
- **Inventory & Stock Management**:

- Ensure the proper storage of raw materials to prevent contamination or degradation.
- Work closely with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels and raw material shelf life.
- Coordinate with procurement teams regarding raw material quality issues or delays.
- **Technical Support**:

- Provide technical support and guidance to the production and purchasing teams concerning raw material quality.
- Assist in the validation of new raw materials and suppliers.
- **Health & Safety**:

- Adhere to safety procedures and proper handling of chemicals and hazardous materials in the laboratory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) in a quality control lab, preferably in the pharmaceutical or related industries.
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements (such as USP, EP, ICH).
- Strong understanding of laboratory equipment and testing methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, FTIR, titration).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
