Job Description for BTP-CPI Consultant Role (6-8 Years)

Experience: 6-8 years of full-time experience in SAP Integration technologies (SAP PO/PI etc.), out of which experience of 1-2 projects in BTP-CPI.

**Job Description**:
Business Process / Functional knowledge:

- General business process knowledge in SD & MM.
- Integration knowledge with S/4HANA using SAP BTP-CPI

Soft skills/Analytical skills & Other Requirements:

- Good analytical skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Very good awareness of entire SDLC and processes related to SDLC. Should also be good in visualizing and formulating process flow diagrams.
- Mandatory: Must be willing to work in any shift: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM shift or 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift (all hours in IST)

Technical: BTP CPI

Mandatory:

- Should understand the functional design, prepare technical design, develop interfaces & mapping in CPI, bug fixing, testing, documentation
- Should have worked as a hands-on CPI middleware consultant as an individual contributor.
- Must have hands on exposure in BTP IS - Cloud Integration, API Management (API portal, Business Hub) and Open Connectors.
- Using API Portal to call exposed SAP S4 HANA API’s (via APIM)
- Should have experience in discovering standard Integration flows and defining custom Integration flows.
- Expertise in handling integrations using various CPI adapters: ODATA, SFTP, FTP, IDOC, RFC/BAPI, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, REST, AMQP, JDBC, XI Proxy Adapters.
- Should have experience in handling different data conversion techniques (like json to xml, csv to xml etc.)
- Should have experience in using various CPI pallet options (Integration patterns - Message transformations, Aggregator, Enricher, Splitter, etc.)
- Should have experience in SAP integration technologies PI, CPI, EDI, ALE/ IDOC, RFC/BAPI and API based integrations.
- Must have expertise in writing Groovy & Java scripts.
- Well experienced in WSDL, JSON, XML, XSD and XSLT technologies.
- Must have expertise in Message Mapping techniques (including defining UDF’s) and XSLT mappings.
- Must Have knowledge in CPI exception handling, error notification techniques, data persistence and retry mechanisms.
- Should have knowledge in handling security artifacts, encryption, and decryption mechanisms
- Should have both CPI Development Experience and Operation Support experience.
- Able to transport Design Objects from non-production tenants to production tenants. (using any one of the methods: Manual, CTS+, TMS)

Nice to Have:

- Working knowledge of SAP Business Application Studio (BAS) service.
- Practical experience implementing service-oriented architecture design and enabling technologies including messaging, XML, SOAP/REST web services and HTTP
- Good to have knowledge on BTP IS - B2B/EDI Trading partner management and Integration Solution Advisory methodology (Exploring MIG, MAG etc.)
- Good to have knowledge on Event based Integrations using SAP NetWeaver Event-Enablement & Event Mesh (Queues & Topics)
- Well versed with Database - SAP HANA/ SAP HANA Cloud and Oracle
- Understanding & working knowledge of SAP Cloud Application Programming (CAP)
- Based service
- Experience in Migration Projects from other middleware (like: Web Methods, GXS) is preferred
