Safety Officer

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Train employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, and safety training activities.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety culture and raise awareness about safety issues.
- Stay up to date with relevant safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Conduct safety meetings and provide regular reports to management on safety performance.
- Coordinate with external agencies, such as regulatory bodies or emergency services, as required.
- Develop and deliver safety-related presentations and training sessions.

- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment: Identify potential hazards and conduct risk assessments to mitigate risks.
- Training and Education: Provide effective safety training programs to employees and promote safety awareness.
- Incident Investigation and Analysis: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and analyse data to identify trends and develop preventive measures.
- Safety Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify safety gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
- Safety Communication: Foster a culture of open communication regarding safety issues and promote reporting of hazards or incidents.
- Safety Performance Measurement: Establish key performance indicators (KPI) to measure safety performance and track progress.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and improve safety processes, procedures, and systems.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to ensure safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the organization.
**KPI (Key Performance Indicators)**:
- Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR): Measure the number of lost time injuries per million hours worked.
- Total Record-able Incident Rate (TRIR): Measure the number of total record-able incidents per million hours worked.
- Near-Miss Reporting Rate: Measure the number of near-miss incidents reported per month.
- Safety Training Completion Rate: Measure the percentage of employees who have completed mandatory safety training.
- Compliance Audit Findings: Measure the number of non-compliance findings identified during safety audits.
- Safety Inspection Corrective Action Closure Rate: Measure the percentage of identified safety hazards or deficiencies that have been corrected.
- Emergency Preparedness Drill Performance: Measure the effectiveness and response time during emergency drills.
- Safety Culture Survey Results: Measure employee perceptions and attitudes towards safety through surveys.
- Safety Communication Effectiveness: Measure the frequency and quality of safety communications across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Measure the number and impact of implemented safety improvement initiatives.
**Qualification**:Diploma in Health and Safety
**Experience**: Minimum 2 years experience
**Location**: Khavda, Gujarat
**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
