- **Direct Patient Care**:Administering medications, providing wound care, assisting with mobility, and ensuring patient comfort.
- **Monitoring and Assessment**:Regularly assessing patients' conditions, monitoring vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.), and reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- **Documentation**:Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, including vital signs, medications administered, and any changes in patient condition.
- **Patient and Family Education**:Providing information about illnesses, treatments, medications, and preventive care.
- **Collaboration**:Working with physicians, other nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- **Medication Administration**:Ensuring medications are administered correctly and safely, following physician orders.
- **Supervision**:May supervise and guide junior nurses, nursing students, and other healthcare staff.
- **Adherence to Standards**:Following hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory standards.
