**Introduction**:
The CFO business partner supports the CFO and its teams in the execution of the business and functional strategies and associated performance management, drives synergies, transformation and provide reliable and sound business support to secure successful business outcomes according to plans.
The role holder is expected to contribute to the strategic development of BCG including the evaluation of adjacent markets and alternative channels and will actively engage in strategic programs to unlock potentials identified. In addition the role holder will manage the cost base of Barclaycard Germany and drive efficiencies.

The role holder works closely with all business and functional teams and maintains strong relationships to senior stakeholders of Barclaycard Germany, BE, BI, CCP, C&P and BX and drives key initiatives of the business and Finance in strong collaboration with local and global business and Finance teams to success.

What will you be doing?
- The role holder supports the FD and CFO to secure an effective operating model and sound governance with BX on their respective service delivery.
- In addition, the role holder will oversee and support the managed BX cost base for the business including driving cost savings, ensuring cost owners manage their budgets and driving efficiencies through the process
- The role holder is also expected to drive month end activity including reporting, understanding allocations, supporting key projects, assisting with BX planning and active R&O management
- Key role in annual allocation rule refresh, understanding allocation drivers, challenging where required and managing a matrix structure of service receipients
- Work with senior stakeholders of Barclaycard Germany, other key stakeholders and CFO business partnering teams on key cost strategic initiatives
- Providing coverage and support to the in business cost team where required
- Provide appropriate support, modelling and challenge to material benefit cases
- Key driver of the overall Finance transformation agenda to deliver a future proof Finance infrastructure, a target operating model including location strategies and develop the required skill set within the team
- Drive and support the delivery of key strategic initiatives for the Finance function
- Ensure effective coordination and collaboration across global finance teams and secure strong collaboration in Barclays, C&P and BCG to achieve objectives inline Barclays values

**What we’re looking for**:

- Qualified accountant or MBA with significant experience at C-level in a payment and lending business and deposit taking bank
- Inspiring and influencing organisational leader and a member of senior leadership teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to represent the bank
- Capable to set ambitious business strategies and develop the business inline the defined strategy
- Strong experience in BP&A and Treasury
- Strong market insight and knowledge of the payment & lending industry and Deposit products
- Strong Risk Management capabilities to manage business within agreed risk tolerance
- Strong change management skills required to lead, execute and oversee the functional strategy
- Cultural awareness and ability to adapt culturally
- Ability to build a culture to deliver performance consistent with the values
