Job Description: As a Copy Editing Manager for STM Journals, you will oversee a team of copy editors dedicated to maintaining the quality and integrity of scientific manuscripts. You will ensure adherence to journal guidelines, handle complex editing tasks, and manage the overall workflow of the team.
- Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of copy editors specializing in STM content, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement efficient copy editing processes and workflows to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to journal guidelines.
- Assign manuscripts to copy editors, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with authors, peer reviewers, and editors to address specific requirements and resolve editing-related queries.
- Stay updated on the latest STM publishing guidelines, industry trends, and ethical standards in scientific research communication.
- Conduct quality checks on edited manuscripts, ensuring proper language usage, consistency, and adherence to journal-specific formatting and citation styles.
- Handle escalations, resolve conflicts, and foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Manage recruitment and hiring processes to expand the copy editing team as per journal requirements.
- Any other duties assigned by the Director.
**Job Type**: Regular / Permanent
**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
