**Job Title**:Product Owner**

The Johnson Controls Solution Navigator program is seeking a Product Owner based in India

**What you will do**

The Product Owner is recognized as an expert and champion on the Solution Navigator platform. When acting in the Product Owner role, he/she/they “owns” the product backlog and acts as the business manager with the goal of long term customer satisfaction, competitive advantage, market share and profitability. Identifies and champions continuous improvement opportunities in the development and deployment processes.

**How you will do it**
- Works directly with program management to define solution roadmap, feature prioritization, and value proposition and supports program management to communicate to the business.
- Leads analysis across product lines to develop an integrated product roadmap and solution strategies.
- Works directly with the customer or field to gather Voice Of Customer (VOC) feedback and provides competitive solution analysis to drive roadmap strategy.
- Defines and documents business and user level requirements, use cases, and acceptance criteria used to drive release planning.
- May drive engineering team execution in the Product Owner Role, maintaining the product backlog prioritization to focus on delivering highest business value.
- Drives engineering team to determine estimates, focusing on delivering business value priority.
- Demonstrates ability to convince, inspire, motivate, and encourage others to move towards solution or product vision or goal.
- Maintains long-term relationships with stakeholders across business units and regions.
- Provides clear oral and written messages to all types and levels of people inside and outside of the business.
- Develops content for sales support, sales training and customer collateral, including web presence, product demos, events, media, etc.

**Ensure Market Driven Direction**
- Manages the product backlog to drive strategic long term product roadmap based on market research, voice of customer/ voice of market, competitive plans and strategic insight.
- Builds relationships with lead users.
- Acts as the customer advocate and protect delivery to business value in all solution decisions and prioritization; be the expert on user workflow.
- Prioritizes activities for self and junior business analysts based on an awareness of the overall business goals.
- Uses insights to anticipate future needs and collaboration with customers to develop innovative solutions.
- Is responsible for identifying and addressing issues that impact business value and delivery commitments.
- Clearly understands business goals and ensures that all broader links to actions required, impacted subsystems and cause/effect of solution changes are defined.
- Holds the team accountable to deliver solutions to the business value defined and timelines committed.

**Desired Qualifications**
- Bachelors degree required
- Formal background in Mechanical Engineering or work equivalent
- Experience with Agile software methodologies.
- 10 years business analyst or Product Owner experience required Preferred
- Three plus years Product Owner in a scaled agile framework.
