Gis Expert

Responsibilities:
must be B.E /Msc in Geo informatics with 6 years experience in implementing GIS

Projects A professional certificate in GIS Mapping/ IWeb Map Programming.
- Geographic information system (GIS) Expert in design, develop and implement system and

database to access and store geospatial data and meet the customer requirements as the

contract agreement.
- Analysing spatial data through the use of mapping software (IGIS).
- Collects, manipulates and updating the GIS database on customer requirements.
- Preparation of digital maps with geographic data and other analyse spatial and non-spatial

information.
- Creating “shape files” to merge topographical data with external data by layering external

data over a topographical map.
- Preparing maps showing the spatial distribution of various kinds of data, including crime

statistics, ICT components location and other important locations based on requirement from

customer need.
- Converting physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
- Responsible for performing other daily tasks of inserting various types of data into GIS

databases such as texts or spreadsheet files that contain longitude and latitude coordinates,

tabular data and digitizing paper maps or map images manually.
- Using desktop GIS to analyse data and create maps for internal purposes of ASCL.
- Maintaining up-to-date and accurate geospatial documentation for reference purposes.
- Efficiently managing geospatial database and developing effective maps.
- Performing data munging & convert data into its desired form and review GIS data for

accuracy.
- Managing and maintaining of geographic maps in various file types.
- Analyse user needs, adapt to new hardware or to improve performance, modify existing

software to correct errors, store, retrieve and manipulate data to improve system capabilities.
- Responsible for maintaining GIS system hardware, software and peripherals.
- Responsible for presenting information to customer, clients and other stack holders.
- Preparing SLA report as per the contract agreement and submitting to the customer on

monthly basis.
- Coordination with the OEM for any software updates.
- Coordination with the ASCL & ANN department for data collection.
- Preparation of power point presentation on project during any VIP visit.
- Organizing meetings with sub vendors, OEMs and with BEL management through Video

Conferencing at conference hall of ASCL.
- Attending regular meetings with ASCL officials such as CEO, Nodal Officer, CDO, SP City,

SP Traffic and ANN.
- Coordination with the help desk operators and ensuring closure of generated tickets without

SLA breach.
- Coordination with the Data centre team and installation of updates, patches, firmware

updates, updating of antivirus.
- Must be ready to travel on MO to any place in India as per the requirement of BEL

Management & project.
- Training to be provided to team members, customer, clients, police, ANN on regular basis.
- Monitoring and support of high priority incidents
- Manage project timelines and report status of tasks to OEM to ensure task completion

within established timeframes.
- Analysing and documenting requirements.
- Supporting project management team.
- Analyse and improve system performance
- Perform site visit, client meetings as and when required
- Good client and vendor management skills.
- Mapping tools such as ArcMap, QGIS, IGiS etc, GPS measuring tools.
- Property survey - Residential & Commercial.

**Education Qualification &**

**Experience : Full time Bachelor degree in**

**Engineering / MCA/MSc Geoinformatics, A professional certificate in GIS Mapping / Web map programming; More than 6 years’ experience in**

**implementation of GIS Projects**

**Salary**: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
