**Automotive Controller, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania**

We are looking for a qualified accountant to join its team as a Controller. The Controller will support the entire accounting function and financial reporting for our dealership. This position will work closely with management and other departments to help ensure harmonious and productive operations, which will help maximize the success of the dealership.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The incumbent will:

- Prepare monthly financial reports according to dealership guidelines
- Ensure that all accounts are current and accurate
- Interpret the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and informs the Manager
- Participate in the preparation of short
- and long-term financial forecasts for the dealership
- Provide department managers with detailed financial and management reports
- Maintain an effective cash management system
- Undertake bank accounts reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with all applicable government finance regulations
- Prepare and processes all insurance claims
- Coordinate annual audit and physical inventory
- Ensure that staff is using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records
- Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the dealership
- Attends managers meetings
- Undertake other tasks as assigned.

**Education and Experience Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Must be a Chartered accountant
- 7 years’ experience of which at least 3 years of previous accounting experience within the motor industry

**Skills**
- Proven analytical skills and action planning experience
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
- Excellent numerical, administrative and time management skill
