**Job Summary**

We are inviting passionate sports enthusiast for the role of community sports mentor. The role offers you with extensive opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the sports sector at the grassroots level. While working in the sports-education landscape you would also be exposed to the newest education and sports development models in the country. The position of the community sports mentor would provide you scope to hone your team-building, strategic planning and motivational skills.

In your role, you would have a constitutive role in motivating and empowering children to seek purpose and joy in sports. In the capacity of your role, you would be working with low-income communities of Delhi. In the process, you will be exposed to a plethora of opportunities to explore the communities and create a lasting impact on the people there. The role shall test you broadly on your social and emotional strengths in different situations.

In your role within the schools, you would be driving the schools to implement structures sport in their curriculum. You will be working with government schools, mentoring their set of students through sports sessions. Monitoring progress and ensuring implementation of the curriculum at regular intervals will be a critical part of your role.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- You are expected to provide a minimum of 15 hours per week for part time role which includes training and planning hours
- One to two years of relevant and strong experience in the field of sports and physical education training is expected
- In-depth understanding of technical and tactical aspects of Football
- Ability to plan sessions effectively using multiple resources like age appropriate equipment, fitness aspects and multimedia tools
- Timely planning of sessions and documentation of sessions conducted in Coach journal, administering assessments, collecting and submitting the assessment data sheet
- Ability to understand children and support them technically and psychologically
- Coaches are expected to be present in weekly coach meeting & monthly training sessions
- Training & preparing teams for state level tournaments
- Engaging with parents and community stakeholders to facilitate their effective engagement and support towards the community sports project
- People with experience of working with children through sports in low income communities / schools will be preferred

**Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications**
- Two or more years of relevant and strong experience in the field of sports and physical training is expected
- Sports qualification of School/ College Level participation is recommended
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability to different situations within the schools and in the communities.
- The ability to actively engage with a variety of stakeholders like students, teachers, principals and parents in the community
- People with coaching licenses or degree in sports/Physical education will be preferred

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
