The Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor Trainee will work under the supervision of the head stewarding team to learn the processes involved in managing the kitchen's cleanliness, hygiene, and operational efficiency. The trainee will gradually be introduced to supervising the stewarding team, managing kitchen inventory, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Training and Development**:
- Learn the essential responsibilities of a Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor.
- Receive training on sanitation, food safety, and kitchen hygiene standards.
- **Team Supervision (Trainee Level)**:
- Assist in supervising kitchen stewards, ensuring all cleaning tasks are completed on time.
- Learn how to delegate daily cleaning and organizing tasks effectively.
- **Sanitation and Hygiene**:
- Ensure cleanliness of dishes, cooking tools, kitchen equipment, and all other areas.
- **Inventory Management**:
- Assist in monitoring cleaning supplies and kitchen equipment inventory.
- Learn the process of ensuring all tools are in good condition and stocked.
- **Kitchen Organization**:
- Help maintain an organized and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist in managing waste disposal and recycling practices.
- **Operational Support**:
- Support the team in keeping the back-of-house areas, including dishwashing stations and storage areas, clean and organized.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies related to cleanliness and hygiene.
- **Administrative Tasks**:
- Assist with daily reports, cleanliness checklists, and inventory logs.
- Learn to track cleaning schedules and report on the stewarding team’s performance.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities.
- Ability to handle physical work and operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety practices (training will be provided).
**Education & Experience**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in kitchen work or hospitality is a plus, but not required.
