**Who we are**:
We are a financial services platform that leverages technology to offer our customers seamless and user-friendly products related to banking, loans, and investments. So whether it’s a savings account, credit cards, investment and payments, it's all on Jupiter. We also help users cut through the banking jargons, offer smart insights based on spending and provide users with a range of new age features to enable and make sense of their finances.

**Our journey so far**:
Jupiter was founded in 2019 by Jitendra Gupta. Best known as Citrus Pay’s founder, Jiten found himself wondering why personal finance experiences were not customer-centric when everything else like food ordering and entertainment were. That’s how our journey began in 2019, with a simple, powerful idea : to create a modern, customer-centric experience that empowers individuals when it comes to their money.

From our humble beginnings, we've strived relentlessly to make managing money easier. In 2021 when we launched we had a waitlist with over 100,000 people eager to experience the world of Jupiter - and within 10 months we crossed 1 million users. Today, we have 2.7 million + happy users on Jupiter.

Our Insights feature today tells how much and where you’ve been spending automatically, even on your other savings accounts Our Edge CSB Bank RuPay credit card is getting a lot of love for it’s head-turning transparent design, not to mention it being a rewarding experience. Our No-Penalty SIP and Daily SIP at Rs 10/- has helped scale our investments business and we have over 100,000 users investing on our platform to fulfill their money aspirations.

**Tech at Jupiter**

Jupiter is a Tech-first company with high ownership and extreme customer centricity. We build several products across multi-business lines such as banking, payments, investments and lending. You will have the opportunity to learn and contribute cutting edge tech in developing several 0-1 and 1-100 products across the portfolio; moreover, you’ll have a lot of ownership in doing so.

Our team consists of Mobile, Platform, Data and ML Engineers, Data scientists, Data Analysts & Data annotators. We use machine learning, AI and behavioural science to build world-class banking experience for our customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Own and work end-to-end on a product/platform component, alongside Product and Design/UX functions
- Write efficient and readable code
- Algorithm development, implementation, profiling and optimisation of the backend components/services
- Compliance with build and configuration management process
- Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
- Design of High Level Designs(HLDs) and Low Level Designs(LLDs) from user requirements

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years experience building backend microservices
- Coding on the JVM stack using either Java or Kotlin; Writes secure, testable, maintainable code with mínimal defects
- Ability to convert a design into code and deliver it using software engineering best practices
- Ability to choose the right algorithm, data-structure, and design pattern for the given problem statement
- Understands the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties, and dependencies of software; Experience with CI/CD stacks such as GoCD, Spinnaker
- Identify software defects by reviewing code errors, log files, metrics, and other common troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience working in public cloud such as AWS, familiarity with the Kubernetes ecosystem and monitoring stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana and alerting systems are big pluses to have
