Staff DevOps Cloud Architect

**Job Description Summary**: As a DevOps Architect at Imaging Fleet Solutions in GE HealthCare, you will play a key role in shaping our DevOps strategy and driving the implementation of best practices across our Imaging fleet solutions portfolio. You will collaborate with Solutions Architects, engineering teams and stakeholders to architect, design, implement and maintain scalable, resilient, and efficient systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to streamline our development and operations processes ensuring scalability, reliability, and security in our systems.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Define and drive the DevOps vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business objectives and technology trends.
- Architect and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure on cloud platforms (AWS Amazon Web Services)
- Establish and maintain best practices for containerization (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) to enable efficient deployment, scaling of microservices and managing clusters.
- Lead the design and implementation of advanced DevOps practices and processes to optimize software development, deployment, and operations.
- Drive the adoption of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation Templates.
- Lead efforts to automate manual processes, streamline workflows, and improve system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and proactive maintenance.
- Creating cloud migration strategies, defining delivery architecture, creating the migration plans, designing the orchestration plans, and more. Assist in creating and executing of migration.
- Respond to incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventative measures.
- Collaborate with software development and operations teams to optimize workflows and automate manual processes.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams on DevOps principles, tools, and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and automation.

**Educational Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

**Required Skills**:

- 12+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a focus on designing and implementing Continuos Integration Continuos Deployment CI/CD pipelines,
- infrastructure automation, and cloud-based SaaS deployments.
- Experience using automation tools such as Terraform, Cloud Formation Templates etc.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration.
- Strong experience in deploying services in Kubernetes and managing clusters.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Runner) and Version Control Systems (Git/Gitlab).

**Good to Have Skills**:

- Strong proficiency in build pipeline scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Ansible, Shell, or Ruby.
- Experience with configuring, customizing, and extending monitoring tools such as Kloudfuse/Grafana.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
