**About Project Sahaas**

Project Sahaas is a transformative initiative by Amba Dalmia Foundation Trust in collaboration with Physio Karma Solutions dedicated to trauma recovery, offering comprehensive psychological and rehabilitative support to survivors of abuse, violence, and distress. Operating within police stations and hospitals, our program integrates psychological first aid, trauma counselling, brain training, and physiotherapy to ensure holistic care.

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Trauma-Informed Psychologist to provide critical psychological support to survivors of trauma, abuse, and violence. This role involves crisis intervention, long-term trauma therapy, and the implementation of brain training techniques to support cognitive and emotional recovery. The psychologist will also play a key role in training law enforcement and healthcare professionals in trauma-sensitive approaches to victim care.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Trauma Intervention & Psychological SupportProvide Psychological First Aid (PFA) at police stations and hospital trauma centers, ensuring immediate emotional stabilization.Conduct trauma-informed psychological assessments to evaluate distress levels, PTSD symptoms, and overall mental well-being.Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based interventions, including:
o

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

o

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

o

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

o

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)Develop personalized treatment plans that promote resilience and long-term healing.Educate survivors on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources for ongoing support.

2. Brain Training & Cognitive RehabilitationUtilize brain training techniques to enhance cognitive function, emotional regulation, and neuroplasticity in trauma survivors.Implement neurofeedback therapy, VR-based mindfulness, cognitive flexibility training, and executive function enhancement to support recovery.

3. Training & Capacity Building-
Train law enforcement in sensitive victim handling, psychological first aid, and secondary trauma prevention.Lead sessions on stress management, resilience building, and emotional intelligence for police personnel and medical teams.

4. Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration & Case ManagementCollaborate closely with law enforcement, medical teams, physiotherapists, and rehabilitation specialists to provide integrated care.Maintain detailed case records, therapy progress reports, and documentation for legal and rehabilitative purposes.

5. Follow-Up & Long-Term SupportConduct regular follow-ups to assess survivors' emotional and cognitive recovery.Facilitate access to support groups, community programs, and reintegration initiatives for sustained well-being.Offer periodic mental health check-ins and resilience training for police personnel handling trauma cases.

**Qualifications & Experience**Master’s in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or a related field.Certification or specialized training in trauma-focused therapies (TF-CBT, EMDR, ACT, or similar approaches).Minimum 2 years of experience in trauma counselling, crisis intervention, or working with survivors of abuse and violence.Prior experience in hospital settings, police stations, or emergency response units is highly preferred.Familiarity with brain training techniques, neurofeedback, and cognitive

rehabilitation

is an advantage.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in high-stress environments.Fluency in Hindi and English to communicate effectively with survivors and law enforcement personnel.
