**Position Title**: Quantity Surveyor - Civil
**Location**: Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad
**Experience Required**: 4 to 10 years

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Cost Estimation & Budgeting**:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil engineering projects.
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documents to understand project requirements.
- Develop Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on project specifications and drawings.
- **Tendering & Contracts**:
- Prepare and issue tenders, and manage the procurement process.
- Evaluate contractor bids and proposals, negotiating contracts and subcontracts.
- Prepare contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, and conditions of contract.
- **Cost Control & Monitoring**:
- Monitor project costs, comparing actual costs to the budget.
- Implement cost-saving strategies and suggest alternative methods for cost efficiency.
- Identify and track any variations to the contract that may impact project costs.
- **Valuations & Payments**:
- Evaluate and verify contractor claims, including time extensions and variations.
- Certify payments to contractors and suppliers in accordance with contractual terms.
- **Project Coordination**:
- Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
- Provide advice on contractual matters, including compliance with statutory requirements.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- **Risk Management**:
- Identify potential risks and assess their impact on project costs and schedules.
- Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize project risks.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:
- Prepare regular financial and progress reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including correspondence, drawings, and contract documents.
- **Dispute Resolution**:
- Assist in resolving disputes related to contract issues, delays, or payment claims.
- Participate in negotiations and provide support for arbitration or legal proceedings if required.
**Key Skills & Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, AIQS) is preferred.
- Proven experience (4 to 10 years) in quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, standards, and regulations.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, MS Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
