Break/fix support, policy management, incident management and resolution of issues related to supported server and monitoring environments, but more importantly; prevent incidents through active analysis and monitoring.

Manage scripts, configuration files, templates, management packs, code, utilities, etc. in SVN to support monitoring solutions with version control.

Collaborate with key internal clients to ensure operational readiness of new solutions and ongoing optimization/improvement of existing solutions.

Identify and suggest necessary solutions or process changes to improve efficiency.

**Education and Experience**
- System Administrator I
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience with relevant Associates Degree OR 3 years of relevant technical industry experience.
- Experience in solution re-engineering and infrastructure process improvement.
- Familiarity with Windows, Windows Server, UNIX/Linux operating systems and the administration of those operating systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL, AGILE and monitoring methodologies.
- Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, UDP and NTP.
- Familiarity with JEE (especially WebSphere, Tomcat and JBoss) and Apache HTTP Server.
- Familiarity with databases like Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, MySQL Lite and PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with software control and version control principles

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**
- Ability to follow process documentation and execute daily tasks while complying with all standards and policies.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving and critical thinking skills with proven attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Adherence to corporate change control and operational standards. ITIL
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assigned tasks.
- Must have schedule flexibility to support project deadlines and targets.
- Understanding of the deployment, configuration and management of industry standard monitoring and automation tools.
- Ability to write basic scripts in some administrative language (e.g., PowerShell, Perl, Python, Bash) to execute monitoring tasks that are out of the scope and capabilities of the monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of PHP,.NET, C and Java would be helpful.
- Ability to create reports to summarize the status of varied operational processes within the Event
