Key Responsibilities:

- **Curriculum Delivery and Instruction**:

- Teach advanced concepts in science, ensuring that lessons are engaging, informative, and tailored to the needs of the students.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline in accordance with school policies.
- Organize and supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring a safe and productive environment for scientific experimentation.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Design and administer assessments, including tests, quizzes, and practical evaluations, to measure student understanding and progress.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other relevant data.
- **Student Support and Development**:

- Identify and address individual students’ learning needs and provide additional support as needed.
- Encourage and motivate students to develop a deep understanding of scientific principles and a passion for learning.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to students, helping them prepare for higher education and career paths in science-related fields.
- **Communication and Collaboration**:

- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share resources, ideas, and strategies for effective science instruction.
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other school activities as required.
- **Professional Development**:

- Stay current with developments in science education, new teaching methodologies, and advancements in the field.
- Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school policies and programs related to science education.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Prepare and submit lesson plans, progress reports, and other required documentation in a timely manner.
- Assist in organizing and overseeing science-related extracurricular activities, such as science fairs or clubs.

Qualifications:

- **Education**:

- Master’s degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field) or a closely related field.
- B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching certification is required.
- **Experience**:

- Previous teaching experience at the senior secondary level, preferably in a PGT role.
- Experience with curriculum development and implementation is advantageous.

- Master's (required)
