**Job description**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in alignment with the CBSE syllabus for primary grades.
- Teach foundational skills including phonics, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English.
- Use stories, poems, role-plays, and activities to enhance language learning in a fun and effective way.
- Promote a love for reading and help students develop good communication habits.
- Assess student progress through written work, oral activities, and reading fluency, and provide meaningful feedback.
- Create a warm and inclusive classroom atmosphere where students feel confident to express themselves.
- Encourage participation in language-based activities such as storytelling, recitation, spelling bees, and reading clubs.
- Collaborate with other teachers and contribute to the school’s academic and co-curricular programs.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in English / Elementary Education (B.Ed preferred).
- **Experience**: Minimum 2-3 years of experience teaching English at the primary level in a CBSE or equivalent school.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Ability to teach language concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for early literacy and language development.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Willingness to reside on campus and actively participate in school life and extracurricular activities.
- Readiness to conduct remedial or enrichment sessions as needed.
- Adaptability to the environment of a residential school and commitment to student development.
