**Job Title**: SHG Coordinator

**Location**: Rajgarh, Mirzapur

**Reports to**:Project Cordinator

**Job Summary**:
The SHG Coordinator will be responsible for mobilizing, forming, and strengthening Self-Help Groups (SHGs) within the community. They will provide guidance on capacity building, financial literacy, livelihood promotion, and access to credit, ensuring SHGs achieve sustainability and empowerment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Formation and Strengthening of SHGs**:
○ Mobilize and motivate community members to form SHGs.

○ Facilitate the registration and documentation of SHGs.

○ Conduct orientation sessions on SHG objectives, functioning, and governance.
- **Capacity Building and Training**:
○ Organize and conduct training on bookkeeping, financial literacy, and group dynamics.

○ Build SHG members' skills in livelihood activities and enterprise development.

○ Facilitate leadership training for SHG leaders.
- **Financial Inclusion**:
○ Guide SHGs in opening bank accounts and linking them to financial institutions.

○ Assist in preparing credit proposals for loans and ensuring timely repayment.

○ Support SHGs in accessing government schemes and subsidies.
- **Monitoring and Reporting**:
○ Conduct regular field visits to monitor SHG activities and progress.

○ Maintain accurate records of SHG financial transactions and activities.

○ Prepare monthly/quarterly reports on SHG performance and challenges.
- **Livelihood Promotion**:
○ Identify income-generating activities suitable for SHGs.

○ Collaborate with NGOs, government agencies, and private partners to provide market linkages.

○ Facilitate training in sustainable and scalable livelihood practices.
- **Community Engagement**:
○ Foster a sense of community ownership and collective decision-making within SHGs.

○ Promote gender equality and women’s empowerment through SHG initiatives.

○ Address challenges and conflicts within SHGs through dialogue and counseling.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience working with SHGs, NGOs, or community development projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage with diverse community groups and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of financial management and record-keeping practices for SHGs.
- Proficiency in local language and familiarity with the region's socio-economic context.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in livelihood promotion or micro-enterprise development.
- Knowledge of government programs and policies for SHGs.
- Computer skills (MS Office, data management).

**Work Conditions**:

- Field-based role with frequent travel to rural areas.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, if needed.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
