**Job Description Summary**: The Staff Data Architect role will lead the design and implementation of a robust data framework to support GE Healthcare’s Installed Base (IB) data operating across multiple domains/functions including engineering, supply chain, commercial, service, cyber, and data & analytics as required. This position will work on the Installed Base Product team as a core team member in the DT Digital team.

In this role, you will:

- Be responsible for driving the data design factoring in scalability, performance efficiency, maintainability, & security for our IB product portfolio
- Lead and coordinate the IB data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction across the IB product portfolio.
- Review and/or analyze and develop architectural requirements at IB data domain level within IB product portfolio and team
- Participates in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction
- Assists in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap, design pattern, and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
- Architect solutions leveraging the AWS native services to address real time / near real time reporting use cases
- Research and evaluate emerging data technology, industry, and market trends to assist in product development and/or operational support activities
- Define, design, and implement an archival strategy for transactional data associated with the creation and maintenance of IB data
- Drive standards implementations across IB Domain while also helping establish standards for new tech stacks, including AWS native services
- Support & actively participate in multiple IB initiatives
- Participate in the Data Governance Council & data design reviews
- Prioritize requests and contribute to project plans

**Qualifications/Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- 5+ years’ experience in Data Design, Architecture, and the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience in cloud compute, storage & big data services
- Understands logical and physical data models, big data storage architecture, data modelling methodologies, metadata management, master data management, data lineage & data profiling
- Demonstrated ability to translate user needs and requirements into design alternatives
- Effective team player with strong communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively / clearly at different levels in the organization
- Demonstrated track record for the successful execution and accountability of assigned tasks

- Good understanding of enterprise source systems -Enterprise resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), etc.
- Expertise in AWS compute, storage & Big data services - Aurora, RDS Postgres, Redshift, S3, Athena, Glue etc.
- Experience in/Exposure to one or more data visualization tool like Tableau, Spotfire, etc.
- Passionate about technology and evangelize emerging technologies and practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills, team player
