Aptos has helped its retail clients maintain a competitive advantage in the face of fierce technological overhauls by providing innovative SaaS solutions in the field of unified commerce solutions.
We are undergoing a period of growth backed by private equity investment from Goldman Sachs. We have two affiliate businesses: Revionics, a company that provides cloud-based price optimisation solutions powered by AI and machine learning; and LS Retail, world-leading provider of unified commerce solutions for retail, hospitality, food service and forecourt businesses.
We have a team of lawyers spread across the US, Canada and the UK and provide legal support to the business across a whole range of geographies and business areas from SaaS contracts to data protection/privacy and other commercial matters.
**Details of the internship**
- We now have a vacancy for a legal intern to join us at our India office to work on a hybrid (in person/remote) basis.
- Internship duration is 2 months.
- Specialisation in Corporate Law/Company Law is added advantage
**This is what you can expect**:
- **Learning Opportunities**: You will be provided with opportunities to learn how tech/software businesses work and shadow some of the lawyers on the team to see how they partner with different stakeholders to manage legal risks. We will also be able to help you with some career guidance (CV review, interview practice etc.) based on the legal career journeys that we have taken so far.
- **Data Protection Project**: You will spend time working with the legal team on the data inventory project (part of the wider Aptos Privacy Program) and interfacing with the different business stakeholders to learn how personal data is being used and collected across the organisation. You will also be given some training on GDPR.
- **Legal Research**:There may also be opportunities to do research on other legally related matters (such as AI) and how generative AI is being used across the organisation.
We would like to give our intern the space to explore, be part of a team, to have responsibilities and present their own insights to the legal team. You will be working within a fast-paced global business environment across different geographies and cultures.
**Are you the person we're looking for?**
- Strong interest in law, ideally someone who is doing undergraduate studies or equivalent in law
- Keen attention to detail
- High level of curiosity
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to work from our Bangalore office at least two days per week
We offer a competitive total rewards package including a base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location.
