Thorough knowledge and hands on experience of specification, fabrication, and erection techniques of piping, structural and equipment in greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Manage a team of technicians and resources, coordinating with project managers and engineers to ensure that all mechanical work is completed on schedule and within budget, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Plan and coordinate with subcontractors and multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish the mechanical works scope without any clashes. So, he requires excellent problem-solving and communication skills to manage tasks concurrently and sequentially.
- He/she must show the ability to adopt to changing project requirements and deadlines and align the teams to prioritize the tasks and to optimize or share the resources to improve productivity.
- Specific responsibilities of the mechanical area incharge must include:

- o Oversee the installation and construction, identify and allocate the Workfront to engineers inline with the material availability, and reduce repair and rework at construction site of piping, valves, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical components.
- o Identify and address any issues or problems and delays that may arise during the construction process.
- o Ensure that all mechanical works are completed in a timely and efficient manner, and that any delays are promptly communicated to project managers and engineers.
- o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all mechanical work, including work orders, invoices, and inventory records.
- o Coordinating with project manager and engineers to ensure that all mechanical work is completed on schedule and within budget.
- o Must be a keen observer and heuristic in nature to build processes and systems.
- Generic responsibilities of the mechanical area incharge must include:

- o Development of Work Breakdown Schedule in line with master Schedule & Front release plan in consultation with E&P.
- o Estimation of Resources & reduction of rework; productivity improvement.
- o Manage the construction activities and execute the construction works in line with the approved contract schedule and specifications.
- o Develop and implement the requirements of the Construction Execution Plan.
- o Ensure adherence to the project/corporate HSE procedures and maintaining a safe working environment.
- o Responsible for generating regular progress reports for review by Management.
- o Monitoring subcontractor and vendor performance and contributes to project evaluation of these in project close-out reports.
- o Ensure that the construction areas are constructed to international quality standards and agreed budget, schedule, and construction sequence.
- o Knowledge on Implementation of construction work pack (CWP), Ensure compliance of manuals, procedures, and systems.
- o Manage the Construction team creating an atmosphere of cooperation and team spirit.
- o Develop the staff so that every supervisory position has a Deputy able to stand in for absences and rotation leave.
- o Identifying and mentoring high potential personnel and recent college/university graduates and allowing training time.
- o Representation in all meetings with clients and subcontractors responsibly
- o Ensure healthy & cordial relation with client throughout project.
- o Cost Control & Billing Certification (Client & Subcontractors) for Piping, valves, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical components.
- o Co-ordination with Material & Consumable Procurement.
- o Reconciliation of Material and Billing quantity.
- o Active involvement in usage and support to Digitalization.
