Demand Planner

**Demand Planning a key back end process which drives the demand step of the S&OP+ process along with working closely with Supply chain to ensure optimum stock availability at the warehouses. The associate is responsible to facilitate sales teams and help them generate 26 period forward forecast & demand plan after incorporating inputs from past trends, portfolio step, market insights, new products launch plans, portfolio changes from factory and availability information. This position will have to play a leading role in driving SNOP+ Process for India. Maintaining optimal finished goods inventory levels for India to maximize customer service in terms of OTIF & OSDC and minimize inventory write offs & prevent NQC.**:

**What will be your key responsibilities?**:

- ** Custodian of a robust process which helps to build accurate demand plan for the business unit**:

- ** Develop an aggregate demand plan and supporting assumptions on a periodic basis for S&OP+**:

- ** Generate the Base line depending on the previous 13/26 periods.**:

- ** Develop, document, update, and challenge the factors and assumptions supporting the demand plan. Serve as the technical expert in matters concerning the use of information systems for demand management, forecasting, order entry, and key user of Futurmaster in unit.**:

- ** Coordinate with the Sales, Marketing, S&F and Supply functions in preparing for the demand review step of the S&OP+ process. Monitor the demand plan performance providing detailed inputs in the S&OP+ process. Ensure the agreed actions from the demand management review meetings are executed.**:

- ** Monitor the demand plan performance providing detailed inputs in the S&OP+ process. Measure and report actual vs planned performance overall, by market segment, sales territory and product family, item and mix.**:

- ** Coordinate with Supply in the development of marketing/manufacturing strategies and objectives, including customer service objectives, inventory targets, backlog/lead time objective and decision points (time fences) for managing change.**:

- ** Coordinate with PMR step owner to analyze the effect of activations/promotions and its impact on demand plan. Validate the assumptions vs actual performance. Inputs on the plan / assumptions for repeat to be built accordingly**:

- ** Visibility to all the factories of the production plan and give visibility of rolling 13 period forward forecast.**:

- ** Ordering to Factories - Ensuring the right order after accounting for inventory, working capital, lead times for the right stock availability, and optimum fill rates at the minimum cost. Track agreed DFGO (Days of Finished goods Outstanding) - an important input to SMR to ensure the best stock availability at the minimum cost. Track overstocks, identify root causes and drive changes needed to avoid occurrence in the future.**:

- ** Continuously track & tweak the production forecast whenever needed basis the oversell/undersell.**:

- ** Manage the cycle of demand plan & forecasting to facilitate the concept of blocked horizon & reactivity, safety/cycle stock levels of finished goods inventory.**:

- ** Build strong partnership with supply planning manager to ensure timely availability of stocks at all warehouses.**:

- ** Link Between Demand & Supply - Be the point of contact for the supply team for the stock availability. Manage and arrive at the optimal balance of customer responsiveness and production stability. Provide recommendations in the resolution of issues involving order promising, deviations to planned finished goods inventory levels, establishment and utilization of safety stocks and customer delivery difficulties.**:

- ** Non Quality Costs (NQC) - Ensuring NQC remains within the budget. Monitoring the stock status and ensuring the right liquidation plan (Coordination with S&F & Logistics) for the sales team to mitigate NQC in the best possible way, if any. Understanding the causals for the NQC and taking the remedial actions as well.**:
