**About the role**:
In order to efficiently scale and continue to delight customers, Gartner is investing in the ‘Global Expert Lab’, India. Analysts on this exciting team will be aligned with Gartner’s most visionary experts to directly help clients by delivering compelling interactions and supporting research.
As an Associate Principal Research Analyst aligned with the Security Leaders team, you will deliver advice and thought leadership through conversations with clients (Inquiry), teleconferences, conference presentations and client meetings.
**What you will do**:
- Engage senior-level executives, most notably CISOs, by building relationships, establishing credibility, conducting substantive content discussions, diagnosing needs, solving problems, and identifying relevant resources.
- Support research and analysis in regard to security program management, technology strategy, cyber risk management, and other leadership-oriented topics.
- Actively contribute to and shape the direction of research by remaining abreast of developments in the domains above; writing clear and actionable guidance and provide constructive feedback during the research process.
- Partner with sales and service delivery partners to increase account growth, retention, and engagement.
**What you will need**:
- The ability to display executive presence and immediately establish credibility with security leaders and senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree minimum, preferably from a leading institution in the field.
- Minimum 3-6 years of experience working within a technology or business field in a related discipline; with demonstrable experience in cybersecurity, either from a program management perspective or a technology perspective. A broad range of understanding in two or more of the below would be preferred: cybersecurity strategy, governance, awareness risk management, incident response is preferred. Some understanding of technical domains such as cloud security, infrastructure and network security would be nice to have.
- The ability to distill large volumes of data into key findings and organize ideas in a logical pattern using clear communication to convey those ideas.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CISA, CRISC, CISM etc. are nice to have.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
