**Job Role & Responsibilities**
- Drive design and development of power electronics platforms for an electric vehicle including DC to AC (traction inverters), DC to DC converters and Battery Management Systems as per performance/ quality/ cost/ weight targets and plants manufacturing requirement
- Establish product specifications, derive system architectures and converter topologies for motor controller, DC-DC converter etc.
- Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for high power EV components, such as Motor Controller, DC-DC converter, BMS etc.
- Layout and packaging of electronic parts in vehicle DMU considering all aspects of functionality and manufacturability
- Define work plan in short/ long term, prepare training plan and provide the same for the group and manage overall capability enhancement
- Engage product development teams from concept to production including design proposal, design reviews, test plans, and test results review
- Build capabilities in various simulations and analyses (e.g. worst case, Monte Carlo, tolerance stack up, power dissipation, stress etc.), in supporting the selection of power components, system architectures and selected power conversion topologies
- Work with cross functional teams for functional safety, thermal, packaging, EMI/EMC, FMEA, Worst case analysis
