**Indira Priyadarshini School, J. P. Nagar 3rd Phase,** is seeking a **Librarian **for its JP Nagar branch.

**Requirements**:

- Graduate Degree in English/Arts.
- Must have Degree/Diploma in Library Science, or must obtain the same in the first two years.
- 1 to 3 years of work experience as a librarian.
- Love for English literature and reading, and good knowledge of children's literature, is strongly desired.
- Must have good to excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Gsuite, library software/databases, and digital media tools.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for organization and management of libraries and budget (School and Class, print and digital), and library room environment.
- Be aware of students’ reading interests and provides effective guidance on selecting appropriate reading material.
- Conduct/coordinate creative reading and literacy-related activities in order to encourage a culture of reading across the school, including reading/writing programs and competitions, poster competitions, author visits, book fairs, readathons etc.
- Contribute activity highlights and book reviews to School blog, bulletin boards and newsletters.
- Teach information and digital literacy as an integral part of the curriculum.
- Provide appropriate training and assistance to all students and teachers in the use of resources, technology and equipment.
- Effectively assist all students and teachers in locating information and resources for project-based learning and web quests.
- Liaison with different publishers, vendors and libraries and handle negotiation and purchasing of books and subscriptions, both academic and library-related.

**Salary**: From ₹20,000.00 per month
